Amazing Results for Greenwood Athletes at OFSAA Track & Field Finals

Jess Tinney ('18) defended her OFSAA title, taking home a gold medal for the second year in a row in the 200m Wheelchair Dash. Jess crossed the line on Saturday in 44.26, smashing the OFSAA record (set by Jess last year) by almost 20 seconds.

Aly White ('18) was competing in two distances - the Junior Girls 1500m and 3000m  - and started off her weekend with a strong performance in Heat 2 of the 1500m on Thursday. Aly crossed the line in a time of 4:54.16 to earn a spot in the finals. Aly ran another strong race on Friday, finishing 12th overall.

Alex Sterling ('18) kicked things off on the Field side on Saturday with the Junior Boys High Jump, where he set a personal best of 1.70m to take 16th spot. Aly White followed in the Junior Girls 3000m, where she ran 10:46.28 to finish 13th.

Congratulations to all three athletes on a great three days of competition!
