A Beautiful Evening for the Alumni Reunion

Erin Taylor, Communications Officer
It was a beautiful evening out on the terrace on June 1 for Greenwood’s annual Alumni Reunion. 110 alumni and teachers gathered to share memories and catch up over drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

It was a casual evening, without formal speakers or presentations, allowing everyone to mingle freely. Members for the different Leaving Classes could meet up with peers they haven’t seen in a while — perhaps since the last reunion — as well as grads from different years. “Everyone seemed very happy and comfortable in the space and to be back at the school and to catch up with one another,” Mr. Moritsugu said. He was happy for the chance to catch up with some of his past students. It was also nice to see various of the alumni checking in to say farewell to departing Principal Al Hardy.”

You can check out some more the photos from the reunion in our Facebook album.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
