Keep Calm and Finish Strong

As the year comes to an end, Sarah encouraged everyone to cross the finish line knowing they gave it their all.

During Monday’s assembly, Sarah expressed the importance of finding a balance between final evaluations and year-end celebrations. She motivated everyone to work hard and never give up, especially with the finish line just ahead.

Sarah also encouraged students to stay true to themselves. “Finishing strong does not just mean finishing with good grades,” she said. “I equate a strong finish with staying true to your values and maintaining the quality of your character.” She hopes everyone can keep up their excellent effort and continue to work hard until the very end.

She closed her address with the quote: “It is not how you start but how you finish. Finish strong!”

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
