Getting a Sense of Greenwood on Visitors’ Day

On Visitors’ Days we invite prospective students and their parents to get to know Greenwood. It’s a great opportunity for them to meet Greenwood students and staff, ask questions and learn more about the school.

This year, we welcomed over 200 guests at our Visitors’ Day on Tuesday, October 8.

Visitors enjoyed speeches from Megan Somerville ‘20 and Evan Edgell ‘24 who talked about their journeys at Greenwood and the various programs they have been involved in at the school.

They also enjoyed a musical performance from some of our Junior Play cast members, who performed the opening number ‘Little Shop’ from the musical Little Shop of Horrors.

Our guests ended their morning with a tour around the school led by our student ambassadors. Prospective families were able to ask questions and get a sense of what the Greenwood community is all about.

We look forward to hosting our next Visitors’ Day on Tuesday, October 22.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
