Parent Speaker Series: Digital Intelligence Part 1

As a part of our 2019-2020 Parent Series on Teens and Resiliency, we want to thank Chris Vollum for his Digital Intelligence workshop at our Parent Speaker Series on Monday, November 4.

Chris shared with parents how their children can build a positive social presence by focusing on their values and reflecting that in what they post. He expressed that social media can be a positive communications tool for teens.

We look forward to seeing Chris on Thursday, January 16 where he will host “Part 2 on Social Media”. This session will focus on the apps most popular with teens and ways to navigate through these apps.

If you weren’t able to make it, check out his Digital Intelligence presentation.

We hope you are able to join us next time!

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
