Part 2 of Our Community Conversation Series is Coming!

Greenwood’s School Nurse, Hannah Dawson, spoke to parents about the importance of health and safety at school during last week’s Community Conversation Series. She touched on a range of topics including Greenwood’s Return to School plan, how to keep your child safe during the COVID-19 pandemic and what parents should know about COVID-19 testing.

Hannah’s presentation can be found here.

On November 4 at 1 p.m. we will welcome Kathryn Connelly, Director, Student Well-being, to chat with parents about her role at the school. Kathryn will share the science behind well-being, explain what we are doing as a school community to promote health and well-being and outline her hopes for this year.

We will provide more information and a Google Meet link to Kathryn’s session closer to November 4. For now, mark it in your calendar and we hope to see you there!

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
