Spirit Day 2021

House colours flooded everyone's screens on Wednesday, June 2 as we celebrated Spirit Day 2021!

To kick off the day, our Grade 12 House Captains took over the morning announcements to give a special intro to our fun-filled Spirit Day. Following their announcement, students met with their Houses over Google Meets and participated in a variety of fun activities all morning long.

The ultimate goal of this day was to figure out who stole the House Cup. After listening to clues and collaborating with their House groups, students sent in their guesses.

Who was the culprit? Well, it was none other than Ms. Clarke! Ms. Clarke will be retiring this year and thought she would like to take a little piece of Greenwood with her. How can we blame her? We will miss you, Ms. Clarke!

Thank you to all of those who planned this fun day. We can’t wait to find out which House will win Greenwood’s House Cup at our Celebration Day event on June 17.

Be sure to follow us on Instagram @greenwoodcollegeschool so you can find out who won this year’s House Cup!

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
