The Greenwood community celebrated the end of the 2020-2021 school year with a special Celebration Day presentation on Thursday, June 17.
We enjoyed many musical performances and listened to wonderful speeches from Anna de Pencier ‘21 and from our Heads of Student Leadership, Liv Arbess ‘21 and Stewie Bain ‘21.
Several awards were given to students, recognizing achievements from across the four pillars of character: moral, intellectual, civic and performance. See below for our full list of winners. Congratulations to all!
Greenwood’s House Cup winner was presented through a special video made by our House Executives. This year, Nahanni took home the House Cup!
We also said farewell to leaving staff members and paid special tributes to four long-time staff. Nancy Clarke and David Moritsugu are retiring this year, while Kevin Way and Julie Way are moving on to new adventures.
Thank you to everyone who celebrated the 2020-2021 school year with us.
We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
