Grade 11 Leadership Morning

The Class of 2022 came together (virtually) to plan for their graduating year on Wednesday, June 16.

Leadership Morning is a time for our Grade 11s to discuss topics and initiatives that are important to ensuring everyone in the Greenwood community will have a memorable graduating year. Our Grade 11s started the morning by dividing into their House groups. They then participated in a set of activities where they discussed four main focal points: they focused on themselves as grads, on their grade as a whole, on mentorship and on creating a memorable grad year.

They developed a list of ideas that could enhance their Greenwood experience next year as well as initiatives that would benefit the entire school and Greenwood community.

We are excited to see our Class of 2022 students showcase their leadership skills next year!

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
