Greenwood Student Accepted into Harvard’s Emerging CEOs Online Program

Tihmily Li, Communications Officer
The Emerging CEOs Program is one of the first programs in the world dedicated to developing the business skills and knowledge for youth aspiring to become CEOs. In four months, accepted students attend 20 virtual sessions and seminars led by leaders in business, finance, and marketing. The students also get the opportunity to have mentors from Harvard Student Agencies and Wharton Interactive to help them in the course.

One of our Grade 12 students, Noah Burlacoff, has been accepted into this prestigious program set to start this Saturday, November 13. “I applied to the program as it is a great way to build technical knowledge and examination skills; people and leadership skills; and academic and industry connections,” Noah says. “I look forward to being mentored by industry professionals such as George Benaroya, who is a Global Financial Executive who managed operations at Procter & Gamble, Tetra Pak, Beiersdorf/Nivea and currently a Private Equity firm.”

From all of us here at Greenwood, we wish Noah all the best attending the program and hope to hear about his experiences when the program concludes in February.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
