A Whole ‘Latte’ of Business

On May 2, 50 Greenwood students participated in the year’s spring business case competition. Unlike the business case competition held in December 2021, this competition was split into a junior division, which featured Grade 10 teams, and a senior division composed of Grade 11 and 12 students.

As with all of Greenwood’s case competitions, the Ivey Business School case study teams were to tackle was kept secret until the competition day and teams spent the morning preparing their case solution. By the afternoon, teams from both divisions presented their proposed solution to judges in virtual meetings. After seeing the presentations, the judges gathered in deliberation ‘rooms’ to determine the winning teams. The judges for this case competition represented both Greenwood staff and external guests. We even had two alumni amongst the judges! Connor Sinclair ‘19 and Peter Bowman ‘12 were happy to see the brilliant ideas current Greenwood business students had to propose.

“The calibre of thought and thoroughness of recommendations are something all teams should be very proud of,” says Peter of the participating students. “As an alumnus working in the consulting field who participates in and judges similar competitions at both undergraduate and graduate levels, I can confidently say that Greenwood’s students can hang with the best.”

After much deliberation and thought, the judges announced the winning teams for Greenwood’s spring business case competition:
