Celebr8 and Grade Socials at Greenwood

Tihmily Li, Communications Officer
We were excited to celebrate our Grade 8s as they finish the year and look forward to being Grade 9s next year. Following an address from Ms. Bruce in Greenwood’s theatre, the students gathered outside with their caps to pose for photos and videos as they ‘graduated’ to a new chapter in their schooling careers.

Tuesday also marked a day of Grade Socials at Greenwood where students played games, socialized with their grades and watched the Groscars (an annual selection of short films made by Greenwood students). Treats and bubble tea were available for students to sample throughout the day. Thank you to all the students and staff for another lovely school year!

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
