Teacher, English
What is your most memorable Greenwood moment?
The 2019-2020 school year was incredibly memorable for me as I started my journey as the Diversity Coordinator. The standout moment was the conclusion of our Pride Week assembly, where we came together as a community, all dressed in the colours of the rainbow. The school wide photograph is a timeless image which I refer back to as a symbol of inclusion and a bright future ahead!
Describe a time you “ventured further”.
I have been super lucky to teach in England, Australia and Canada. When I returned from teaching abroad, I was so excited to start the school year on an outdoor education trip. Our OE trips are such a special way to build community. The time I had getting to know my first Adviser group prior to classes helped to set us up for an awesome journey!
How do you spend your summers?
As an English teacher, you might not be surprised that most of my summer is filled with reading on my hammock. I also love to go on hikes and outdoor adventures with my dog, Rosie. I am hoping this summer she will be ready for her first canoe ride!
