Passionate, committed, knowledgeable, energetic and engaging, our teachers and staff have lived, taught and travelled widely around the world, and they bring their diverse backgrounds and life experiences to enrich life at Greenwood. Our student-focused approach ensures that students and teachers create the foundation for a strong rapport from the first day of school, and that these relationships are supported and strengthened over time.

The Greenwood Centre for Teaching and Learning provides our teachers with opportunities to gain skill in the specialized methodologies - such as authentic and ongoing assessment and new learning technologies - that are central to our mission.
All of our teachers are certified by the Ontario College of Teachers.

Our teachers also pull their experiences from around the world into classroom. Greenwood teachers have taught in countries including Costa Rica, China, the Dominican Republic, France, Italy, South Korea and the United Kingdom.

Scott will teach Science and be a coach at Greenwood. Previously, Scott worked for the PDSB for four years, at the Brighton School for two years and at The Rosedale Day School for eight years. His role at The Rosedale Day School as their STEAM coordinator inspires him to bring that style of integrated learning to Greenwood’s Science courses. He holds a Bachelor of Science from UofT and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Ontario. In his spare time, Scott enjoys being outdoors, playing sports, travelling and hanging out with his family and friends.
Since joining us in 2019 Justine has taught in our Learning Strategies Department. In addition, she helps support our Service Learning Program and is a part of our Guidance team. Justine graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Education with a focus on at-risk youth and also holds a Bachelor of Vocal Music (Hons.) specializing in Music Education from Western University. Outside of the classroom, Justine helps lead our Girl Up Chapter and is working towards her Special Education Specialist qualification.
Elanna has been at Greenwood since 2006. Prior to becoming the Vice Principal, Student Learning, Elanna was the Senior Director, Academics where she worked closely with the school’s Subject Team Leaders and Teachers to support the school’s academic program with a focus on driving student learning through effective assessment and evaluation, experiential learning and personalization. Elanna also served as the Subject Team Leader of Business Studies for many years and thoroughly enjoyed her eighteen years in the classroom teaching economics, accounting, mathematics, and HPE. Elanna also coached the U-20 Boys’ Basketball team for 14 seasons where some of her fondest Greenwood memories were forged.
Elanna has an MEd, BComm (with distinction) and BEd from the University of Toronto. She has also completed her Principal’s Qualification Program through the Ontario College of Teachers and the CAIS Leadership Institute through the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools. She was a member of the University of Toronto varsity basketball team, an Ontario Universities Athletic Association All-Star, and an Academic All-Canadian; she was also the Ontario Universities Athletic Association Rookie of the Year. She has a passion for fitness and is active in resistance training, functional fitness and Crossfit.
Lilah is a proud Greenwood alumni, graduating in 2016. After Greenwood, she earned a Bachelor of Social Work from McGill University and then obtained a Master of Social Work from UofT. Before joining Greenwood, Lilah worked as a case manager for a non-profit home care organization that supports older adults. With her background in social work and her experience as an alumna, Lilah brings a unique perspective to her role as part of the Admissions and Advancement team. In her spare time, Lilah enjoys spending time in nature, needlepoint and baking.
Andrew has an extensive background teaching Math, Computer Science and Design Technology in his previous role at the Bishop Strachan School (BSS). Apart from teaching, Andrew was also heavily involved in BSS’s school life through numerous co-curricular activities. He joins Greenwood as the Math Subject Team Leader and coaches basketball and track. Andrew has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University. Outside of the classroom, Andrew enjoys exploring sci-fi and fantasy worlds through books, films, video games and more; staying fit with running, bike touring and weightlifting; and playing guitar music.
We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated.
