Yesterday marked our annual Careers Morning for students in Grades 9-12. Throughout the morning, students were able to attend presentations led by Greenwood alumni or parents in professional fields.
One of the many aspects that drew me to Greenwood was the abundance of new and engaging teachers. This year, my Science class has one of those new teachers: Mr. Harris, who teaches Grade 10 Math, Grade 9 Science, and next semester will teach Grade 10 Science and assist with Grade 11 and 12 Biology.
Greenwood’s Environmental Committee prides itself on the efforts they make to be environmentally conscious, bringing several new initiatives and keeping long-standing ones around.
At Greenwood, the Jack Chapter and Athletics Committee are working together to promote awareness of not only men’s mental health but everyone’s mental health.
Greenwood’s annual Pride Week and will consist of several initiatives to help engage students and staff in reflection about Greenwood’s plan to make our school community more inclusive, aware, and accepting.

The Athletics Committee at Greenwood is a group of students that come together every week to review and support the athletic programs that are running each season.
The Service Learning Committee is composed of students ranging from Grades 9-12. The committee strives to increase awareness and engage students in various social causes.
