Grizzlies Have a Powerful Start to the Season

The Grizzlies are off to an incredible start this school year. Teams began meeting just last week, and what little practice time they’ve had have led to some pretty impressive results in their games.

In volleyball, Jr. boys and Sr. boys both showed great skills on the court, with the Jr. boys winning both of their games, both 3 sets to 0, against Country Day and The York School. The Sr. boys started the season with a warm-up tournament, hosted by the Toronto District Christian High School, which they handily won.

In girls’ athletics, we’ve seen wins nearly across the board. Both U14 girls’ basketball and U15 girls’ soccer teams won their first games, while the U20 girls’ basketball team lost its first two games.

We can’t wait to see what the Grizzlies do next after a start like this.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
