Having a Hoot During Our Holiday Hootenanny Week!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Greenwood!

Our annual Holiday Hootenanny began with a fun House assembly on Monday, December 16. Our House captains had the entire school playing a game of Heads or Tails and they revealed our current House leader - congrats Wernham! Greenwood’s Jewish Culture Club also hosted a Dynamic Dreidel Day in the Lodge during lunch.

On Tuesday, there was a staff versus student dodgeball game during community time and a screening of the movie “Home Alone” during lunch.

Wednesday’s lunch break consisted of a Holiday Kahoot in the Lodge and a gingerbread cookie making station. Greenwood musicians also made their way to the Claremont Retirement Residence where they performed a variety of holiday songs for the residents.

Tomorrow we will have another jam-packed day filled with holiday spirit! There will be a holiday dress-down, a Greenwood Mic, hot chocolate in the Lodge and more! The Environmental Committee will be doing sustainable gift wrapping in the morning and at lunch. Students and staff are encouraged to bring in their holiday gifts and a member from the committee will wrap it in sustainable materials.

It has been a festive, fun-filled week and we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable winter break!
