Greenwood Business students had the opportunity to compete in a second-ever virtual Business Case Competition on Tuesday, December 8.
This semester’s Business Case Competition was unique because we hosted two cases for both a Junior and Senior Division. The Junior Division was for students taking Grade 10 and 11 Business courses and the Senior Division was for students taking Grade 12 Business courses.
On Monday, December 7, both our Junior and Senior competitors received an Ivey School of Business case and got to work with their respective groups. They had only 24 hours to crack the case and prepare a formal presentation with their solutions. On Tuesday afternoon they presented their case to a panel of judges composed of local business people, Greenwood alumni and staff.
Our Junior Division case was called “Apple and the Music Industry”. This case asked students to advise Apple on the direction they should take moving forward to achieve growth in the music industry.
The Junior Division champs are: Charlie Baillie '22, Michael Clarke '23, Elle Houston '23 and Erin Stewart '22.
Our Senior Division case was called “Amazon Goes Global 2020”. Students were asked to advise Amazon on how they should approach international markets in the near future.
The Senior Division case winners are: Jack Belgue '22, Brandon Jones '21, Audrey Korngold '21 and Sabine Moysey '22.
Congratulations to all of our participants and thank you to all of our judges for a great day!
