As always, the main goals of WinterGreen were funraising and fundraising. Given that we still can’t get together in large groups, the Roundtable wanted to find ways to make personal Greenwood connections while raising money for Roundtable initiatives.
WinterGreen raised over $20,000 for Roundtable initiatives through their annual Swag and Greenery sale and their silent auction thanks to strong community support. On November 27, 45 volunteers got on the road to deliver 135 swag bags and 85 greenery orders to 165 Greenwood families over the course of three hours (which is quite an accomplishment!) The Roundtable received lots of positive feedback from both volunteers and Greenwood families that they were so happy to connect in person, even if only briefly.
Current Greenwood families also came together to create 20 amazing wine and gift baskets to be auctioned off at the end of November. For baskets that sold above the retail price, the additional money raised will support Greenwood community initiatives such as Project Impact - Out of the Cold and the Holiday Hamper program.
Thank you to the Greenwood community for your generous support again this year!
