Fall 2023 Athletics Awards

Tihmily Li, Communications Officer
On November 20, we celebrated the many accomplishments of our athletes during the 2023 Fall Athletics season. A highlight slideshow kicked things off while Fin Burke ‘24, Tom Evis ‘24 and Doug Brown provided accompanying acoustic music. With 15 CISAA teams and two flag football clubs, this fall season proved to be yet another great showing from our Grizzlies.

Participating athletes from each sport were called down to stand proudly before the community as we recognized the recipients of the MVP and Coach’s Award for their teams. Grade 12 athletes were also given special Grizzly socks in recognition of their leadership and dedication as Grizzlies.

Here are the teams that won the CISAA Championships this term:

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
