Grandparents and grandpals welcomed for annual Greenwood tradition

More than 250 grandparents and grandpals joined us at Greenwood for our annual Grandfriends Day on May 9, 2024.

This cherished tradition sees Greenwood students inviting their older loved ones to visit the school for a tour, breakfast, a photo booth, and music and dance performances.

“Our students have eagerly awaited the opportunity to share their school with you, to proudly showcase their classrooms, to introduce you to some of their teachers and to share the positive energy that defines our Greenwood community,” said Sarah Bruce, Principal, as she welcomed everyone to the event. “Your presence here today adds an extra layer of warmth and pride to our school, reminding us all of the importance of family and the joy of shared experiences.”

Thank you to the junior and senior dance troupes, the cast and band of Pippin, the choir and the intermediate jazz band for providing the programming. Thank you also to the students who provided ambient piano in the Lodge.

And a huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Grandfriends Day. We hope you enjoyed your day and created a cherished memory together.
