Celebrating a Great Season at the Fall Athletics Assembly

The Greenwood community gathered on November 24 to celebrate a fantastic fall athletic season. This fall season kicked off athletics at Greenwood with much aplomb: 17 athletic teams, six Grade 12 spotlight events and many teams in CISAA championship playoffs all in just seven weeks.

Hosted by the Athletics Committee execs Theo Maceroni ‘26, Stella Seed ‘26 and Olivia Wellman ‘26, the assembly also thanked members of the Athletics Committee members for their work in creating Grade 12 Spotlight posters, scorekeeping at home games and supporting the Friday Afternoon Lights game day. A special thanks also went to Greenwood staff, not only to the dedicated coaches this season but also for the staff who helped with the logistics of home games, the transportation to away games and the smooth operations for the fall season.

Congratulations to the U14 Flag Football team that brought home a CISAA Championship this term! The U14 Boys’ Volleyball team, Sr Boys’ Flag Football team and Sr Girls’ Basketball team also performed exceptionally well all season, each earning silver with close finishes in their respective CISAA Championship games.
