Students in grades 9-12 each had the opportunity to select two sessions based on their interests. In addition to providing insight into working in fields such as medicine, finance, journalism, design, law, and many others, our speakers also shared the varied paths they took to reach their current careers.
Speakers also emphasized that many careers available today didn’t exist 10 years ago, and that many of the careers that will be available to our students in the future still don’t exist. The transferable skills and character traits we help Greenwood graduates to develop – such as critical, big-picture thinking, perseverance in the face of challenges, and technological literacy – will be key to success in these as-yet-unknown careers.
We would like to sincerely thank the many professionals – including many Greenwood parents, family members and friends – who took the time to join us for Careers Morning. We know our students enjoyed hearing from you, and felt encouraged to start thinking ahead about their career options.
