Fall Season Athletics

Every one of Greenwood's basketball, soccer & volleyball teams qualified for the playoffs with both the U15 Girls' Soccer team & U14 Boys' Volleyball team winning their respective championships. The cross-country teams also produced some excellent results; the U14 Boys' achieved Greenwood's highest-ever team finish, placing 2nd behind St. Mike's at the CISAA championships. Similarly, the Senior Girls' team sent four representatives to OFSAA after a successful CISAA championships that saw Robyn Perry win the Junior Girls' Division, Evelyn Rogan place 3rd in the U15 race and Aly White earn 4th place in the senior race.

Our senior teams also represented the school well, with the U20 Girls' Soccer acquitting themselves admirably against tough opposition at the annual CAIS tournament and the U20 Boys' Volleyball team choosing to play up a division and making it to the semi-finals in DI Volleyball.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
