Lively Crowd for U14 Boys Basketball

The U14 Boys Basketball team were in for a big surprise on their February 1 game against Sterling Hall. But in this game, the surprise didn’t come on the court; it was in the stands!

The Athletics Committee, headed by the executives Victoria Day, Sydney Gordon & Michael Grif, rallied up a huge crowd to come out and support the team. Approximately 75 students from all grade levels packed the bleachers, many bringing along posters and signs to show their support.

With their peers cheering them on, the U14 Boys gave it their all. It was a close game throughout, with Greenwood holding a small lead and the energy in the gym was electric. The U14 Boys managed to secure a win against Sterling Hall, 50-39!

Check out the athletics schedule and come out to support the Grillies at their upcoming home games!

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
