On May 24, 181 of Greenwood’s athletes and coaches gathered in the gym to celebrate another great year. They looked back on the highlights from Fall, Winter, and Spring sports seasons and chatted over a banquet dinner.
The awards presentation was the evening’s big highlight. The Athlete of the Year award recognizes athletes both for their outstanding athletic skills and their strong leadership. It was awarded to one male and one female student in each age category. MVP and Coach’s awards were awarded to one player per award for each team.
Victoria Day, Sydney Gordon & Michael Griff were awarded the OFSAA Colin Hood Award for their contribution to sport at Greenwood during their high school careers. Jamie Lester received this award for his contribution to the Greenwood Athletic program and the CISAA.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
