When you leave a legacy gift to Greenwood College School or to the Greenwood College School Foundation, you are not just donating; you are planting a seed. 

Legacy gifts to the School transform into action the moment they reach the school, creating immediate and meaningful opportunities for our students to venture further.
  • Innovation in Real-Time: Because a planned gift can support either the Foundation or the School, it frees up annual funds to be used for immediate innovations in technology, the arts, and experiential learning - things like new theatre equipment, Media Lab upgrades, and support for the Student Success Centre.
Legacy gifts to the Foundation in an endowment fund ensure the core of your gift remains untouched and protected. At the same time, the annual growth provides a steady, reliable source of support for Greenwood students for generations to come.
  • Long-Term Stability: Endowments provide a stream of income that allows the school to plan decades by providing permanent sources of income for the school to support the school’s greatest needs - things like financial assistance, teacher excellence, and outdoor education.
  • True Accessibility: Legacy gifts left to the Foundation are the primary engine for Student Financial Assistance. They ensure that a Greenwood education is available to the most talented students, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it.
