U14 Badminton
  • May 2:
    • Greenwood performed extremely well in singles and doubles at the first U14 badminton tournament. The results are:
      • Ethan Givens '27 won 3-2 against Montcrest and losts 2-1 to Crestwood in Boys singles.
      • Andy Botting '28 won 2-0 against Montcrest and losts 2-0 to Crestwood in Boys singles.
      • Mae Loftsgard '28 won 2-0 against Montcrest and won 2-1 against Crestwood in Girls singles.
      • Jasmine Chen '28 won 2-0 against Montcrest and wins 2-0 against Crestwood in Girls singles.
      • Avish Singh '28 and Oliver Duchesne '27 lost 2-0 to Montcrest and losts 2-0 to Crestwood in Boys doubles.
      • Leonardo Aspesi '28and Luka Knezevic '28 lost 2-0 to Montcrest and losts 2-1 to Crestwood in Boys doubles.
      • Elora Colbert '27 and Olivia Wang '28 won 2-0 against Montcrest and won 2-0 against Crestwood in Girls doubles.
      • Irmak Aydeniz '28 and Sunny Zhou '28 won 2-1 against Montcrest and lost 2-1 to Crestwood in Girls doubles.
      • Lucas Johnston-Pickwoad '27 and Autumn Schelter '27 won 2-1 against Montcrest and won 2-0 against Crestwood in Mixed doubles.

Golf


The golf team had a great first tournament at Hidden Lake in Burlington. While the day was cold and windy, it was a competitive and fun day. 

Mountain Biking
  • April 27: The team had their first race at Woodnewton with great results. Here are some notable results:
    • Curtis Borthwick ‘23 placed third for Sr. Boys
    • Nicholas O’Dwyer ‘26 finished second for Jr. Boys

  • May 1: Won 25-0 against Country Day School
  • May 1: Won 10-5 against Holy Trinity School 
  • May 1: Won by forfeit against Ridley College
Sr. Boys 
  • April 26: Won 41-14 against Ridley College
  • April 26: Won 14-12 against Hillfield Strathallan College
  • April 26: Lost 26-5 to St. Michael’s College

Track and Field
  • April 25: The U14 Girls' Relay team won at YorkU's Toronto Track. The relay runners were Natalie Burkett '28, Rainaa Cluett '28, Anna Dravers '28 and Kate Jakubek '28.
  • April 26: At the Durham Series, Dillon Browning Rodriguez ‘25 placed in the top 50 for Jr Male 100 metre dash and Michele Horak ‘24 placed in the top 50 for Sr. Female 100 metre hurdles.
  • May 2: At the Father Redmond Track and Field Classic, Greenwood had 10 athletes who all achieved great results. Here are some of the results in the top ten at various events: 
    • Dillon Browning Rodriguez ‘25 finished 5th in Jr. Male 300 metre hurdles
    • Riel Hewitt ‘26 finished 8th in Novice Male 100 metre dash.
    • Michele Horak ‘24 finished 3rd place in Sr. Female 400 metre hurdles
    • Samantha Jaskolka ‘26 finished 7th in Novice Female 100 metre dash
    • Owen Schonberger ‘26 finished 8th in Novice Male 100 metre dash
    • Burkleigh Smith ‘23 finished 3rd in Sr. Female 400 metre hurdles
