Great Turnout At Recent Alumni Trip

Some highlights included learning about Alex Strothard and his travels to Africa, and about the impeccable home of Paul Forster '08, Mike Adair '08, George Fleming '08 and David Cobban '08, who all live together. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Moxie's Classic Grill, photo here. Others in attendance included Connor '10 and Jessica Linton '08, Ailsa Rollinson '10, Lizzie Jamieson '10, Natalie Whitney '10 and Laurel Barr '10.

Ms. Bibby and I then travelled onto Waterloo and had a great lunch with a large group of alumni. Highlights included learning about Mike Forster '08 and Stephen Lewtas '08 and their budding Junior D hockey careers. Mike is off to Australia next winter on a study-abroad opportunity.

We learned of Olivia Wallman '08 and her study-abroad term in Mumbai, India. Mike Warrington '09 got a co-op placement at PricewaterhouseCoopers - which I might add is no small task! Others in attendance included, Lindsay McLean '10, Andrew Macdonald '10, Zoe Varga-Papp '09, Emily Wright '09 and Ian Mackenzie '08.

All in all a great trip hearing from all of the alumni and learning about all the great things they are up to! We apologize for not getting out to London to see the alumni at Western and Fanshawe College this year. You will be top of our list in the fall. Timing just did not work out this winter.

On another note, we look forward to seeing all the alumni at the reunion scheduled for May 27 at 6:00 p.m. in the John and Peggy Latimer Lodge. A formal invitation to follow shortly. It would be great to see as many of you as possible.

In addition, if any alumni are interested in participating in the 4th Annual Parent and Alumni Golf Tournament, tickets and foursomes are available at $87 per player. The tournament is taking place on May 12 at King's Riding Golf Club, King City. Please contact me directly if you are interested. It would be great to have a bunch of alumni foursomes out!

Good luck to you all in the last few weeks and to all of you in the working world. Keep up all the great work you are doing and remember to drop us a line of what you are up to, so we can update our database and keep in touch.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
