Montana Danis ‘19 to Compete in the World Junior Ultimate Championships

Recent Greenwood grad Montana Danis ‘19 will head to Sweden in July to compete at the 2020 World Junior Ultimate Championships!

Throughout Montana’s time at Greenwood, she was an incredible athlete who competed on many sports teams and even won the Jan Campbell Senior Female Athlete of the Year Award. Montana got her start in Ultimate while she was at Greenwood and has brought her skills to Western, where she plays for the university team. Outside of school, she plays in Toronto for her club team, Toro; this past summer, they won Nationals.

Montana is now part of the U20 Women’s National Team that will compete in Malmö, Sweden from July 18 to July 25. Check out the roster for both the women’s and men’s teams that will represent Canada.

We will be cheering Montana and her teammates on this summer!

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
