Empowering Potential

Supporting the Teacher Wish List

At Greenwood, we believe that education is an investment in human capital. Our Teacher Wish List is a curated collection of high-impact materials and programs, generously funded by our community, that will directly enhance the student experience.

To participate as a supporter, you may choose to fund a specific wish list item in its entirety or donate a chosen amount toward the resource that resonates most with you. Your partnership ensures our school has the tools to turn teacher’s academic and community visions into immediate and engaging student experiences.

Thank you for your support.

Teacher Wish List 2026

CELEBRATING SCHOOL SPIRIT!
Building community through House and Athletics: Go Grizzlies!
  • House Signs and Flag Poles ($4,000): School Spirit lives here! By supporting sturdy and transportable House signs, flags and stands, you will help to foster a deep sense of belonging and community for every student, wherever the event! By funding this wish today, you ensure our House program is ready to champion school spirit from the very first day of the new year through until Celebration Day and for several years to come.
  • Athletics Office Decal ($500): Show the Grizz some love! Your support for an iconic Grizzlies decal around the Athletics Office will create an inspiring visual that radiates pride in our athletics teams for every student and staff member who passes by. By investing in this vibrant athletics environment, you are reinforcing the sense of belonging and school spirit that defines the Greenwood experience.
SMART USE OF TECHNOLOGY
High-performance tools for high-impact experiences.
  • Hudl Video Analysis for Athletics ($40,000): Give our athletes a competitive edge. This professional-grade software allows coaches and players to review game film, refine strategy, and elevate their performance on the court.
  • Piano Amp ($1,100): Your support for a new piano amp will empower student musicians in our Jazz and Pit bands to perform at their peak and ensure that our performers return in September to professional-grade equipment, enriching every performance for the entire community from the very first note.
  • Media Lab Enhancement ($30,000): Fuel the next generation of creators. Funding for advanced cameras, lighting, and editing tools ensures our media students are working with the same technology used in the professional industry.
BUILDING THE BEST CAMPUS POSSIBLE
Enhance our spaces to create the school of the future right now.
  • Audio Visual Upgrades ($120,000): Together let’s transform the Lodge into a state-of-the-art venue where every student’s voice and talent is heard with professional-grade clarity. By modernizing our 20-year-old AV system, we can provide a high-calibre stage for events that directly impact our entire community. This investment introduces seamless, modern technology, including touchscreen controls and wireless casting, that would allow for clear, high-quality sound for all occasions – whether it’s for a House Kahoot, a panel of student speakers, or a big-screen virtual meet and greet with a Greenwood alumni. This critical upgrade ensures that when we gather this September, the Greenwood community will have a world-class environment for connection and celebration.
  • Portable Vertical Whiteboards ($75,000 - 15 boards x $5,000 each): Classrooms come alive with vertical whiteboards. Help us expand our whiteboard collection and transform our physical environment. These boards facilitate "Visible Learning," allowing students to collaborate and solve complex problems in real-time, anywhere on campus.
  • Visual Arts Storage for Student Artwork ($11,000): Bring professional-grade care to our student artists. Your support for dedicated metal storage units ensures that our young creators have an organized space to protect their work from damage or loss.
  • Fitness Centre Enhancements ($6,000): Bring high-performance training to our fitness centre. By modernizing our facility, you are providing every student, from personal fitness enthusiasts to elite athletes, with the resources to reach their peak potential.
EXPANDING POTENTIAL IN ACADEMICS AND INNOVATION
Investing in the minds of our students & the mastery of our teachers.
  • Research Chair in Educational Innovation ($65,000/year): Join us at the forefront of pedagogy. Funding the Research Chair, Teaching & Personalized Learning, ensures Greenwood remains a leader in evidence-based teaching, directly impacting how every student in our building learns.
  • Academic Speaker Series ($60,000): Bring the world to Greenwood. Your support allows us to host global experts and thought leaders in our classes and assemblies, sparking curiosity and providing students with professional insights that go beyond the textbook.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
