Giving to Greenwood

Annual Appeal: What Can I Support?

    • Without support from our community, spaces such as our newly renovated Innovation Lab would not be possible.

Our supporters, like our students, have a wide range of passions and priorities. With this in mind, we have several initiatives you can support with your gift to this year’s Annual Appeal.
All of the initiatives below will make a tremendous impact on life at Greenwood; we hope one of them speaks to you. Donate online now to any of these initiatives, or learn about more ways to give.

  • Health and Well-being

Our community’s contributions to Health and Well-being in recent years have given students an incredible wealth of resources to support their physical, mental and emotional health. These include:
    • A Director, Student Well-being and School Nurse, both of whom are available to students as needed
    • Increased access to counselling with our School Social Worker
Mental Health First Aid training to ensure that staff can identify, and assist with, mental health crisis (many staff completed the training this August)
    • In-school programming to encourage and support healthy behaviours
Your donation to this area will enable us to sustain this additional staffing and implement additional health and well-being programming.
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Over the last two years, we at Greenwood have started to take a close look at our systems and structures with the goal of identifying and removing all forms of bias. Your gift will help our community foster greater diversity, equity and inclusion by:
    • Funding guest speakers and workshops for students
    • Supporting the development of anti-racist curriculum
    • Providing professional development opportunities for staff
  • Building Endowment

Each Greenwood class has a fund established in their honour. Many of these funds support building endowment towards student financial assistance; many previous class funds have the same goal. Learn more about the benefits of endowment at
Not sure where to direct your gift? Feel free to contact Jamie Lougheed, Executive Director, Advancement at 416 545 5103 or to discuss your options. You can also consider the Greenwood Fund, which supports the school's area of greatest need as determined by the Principal.
Donations from parents, past parents, alumni, staff and friends are what allow Greenwood to go “the extra mile” with initiatives and programming over and above what tuition can cover.

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
