Following final evaluations, Greenwood had a week of celebratory activities to mark the end of the 2025-2026 school year!

Our middle school students had various activities and celebrations of their own, culminating in a Grade 7 trip to Skyzone and the Grade 8’s Celebr8 event on Tuesday, June 9.

On Wednesday, June 10, the Grade 11 students had their Leadership Day retreat here at Greenwood. This annual event helps the Grade 11s prepare plans as they take on leadership roles at Greenwood the next school year. In the evening, we hosted a Grad Reception for the Class of 2026 at Greenwood.

On Thursday, June 11, we recognized students who won the Arts Award, Athletic Awards, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Bronze Level recipients, Leader by Example Award, Service Learning Award and Spirit of Adventure Award.

Finally, our annual Celebration Day was held at the Meridian Centre for the Arts on Friday, June 12. During the Celebration Day event, we honoured the recipients of the Student Growth Award, the Roundtable Award, the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards as well as the Character Awards (Civic, Intellectual, Performance and Moral). In the afternoon, the graduating Class of 2026 donned their caps and gowns for their Leaving Class Ceremony. We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
